Summary
The Rossignol XV Magtek Men’s Snowboard is one of the best mountain boards of 2017 for intermediate to advanced level hard chargers. This board is designed specifically for big snowy mountains. It is an absolutely amazing directional shaped board.
The Rossignol XV Magtek Men’s Snowboard remains, year after year, one of the top boards of free-ride performance. This year it holds its acuity, but with a softened flex on the center, while the spatulas keep the same support.
It works best in torsion, it progresses in short corners and gains cushioning at medium speed. We were once again bedazzled by this board, as always a complete, precise and directional. Here’s a thorough review of this product.

Designed for Aggressive Riding Style
The board’s flex pattern is inverted; it’s stiffer along the nose and comparatively softer along the tail. This inverted flex pattern delivers the stability needed to charge without being sprung off-balance. On the front foot the board is a bit stiffer to ensure maximum stability. Another rad thing about this is that there’s unique Amptek elite with 60% camber in between each foot and then there’s a little bit of rocker 20% of nose 20% on the tail that rock up.
Another cool thing about the Rossignol XV Magtek Snowboard is that on the tip pass the contact point there’s a thing called roller. The core has been milled out so there’s a one millimeter style rise, so the board just floats over the top of deep snow. With this board you can ride fast through choppy terrain and sketchy conditions.

Smooth Riding Experience
The XV Magtek Snowboard comes with beefiest serrated Magna-traction edges that grips the snow and provides better control. Inside this board is a triple hybrid kind of core. This core has a polyurethane style micro cells that have been kind of milled out and there’s a combination of fiberglass basalt fibers for increased pop and damping and then aramid which is basically a Kevlar for smoothening the ride at high speed.
This board has a gigantic turning radius ranging from about 8 meters to 10 meters. The board is very stable at the edges.

Verdict
The Rossignol XV Magtek Men’s Snowboard is one of the best mountain boards of 2017 for intermediate to advanced level hard chargers. This board is designed specifically for big snowy mountains. It is an absolutely amazing directional shaped board. The stance is set back about an inch and a half and it features a really cool flex pattern.
It has a very stiff and responsive style but what makes it unique is its reverse directional flex pattern instead of having the tail section to be stiff. It’s a pretty darn high tech board and i would personally give it a 10 out of 10. All in all the XV Magtek snowboard is a really different fun snowboard that is designed for average to expert level rider.
